Welcome to Screen Mirror - Cast to TV. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to ensuring your privacy is protected while providing you with the best screen mirroring experience.
1. Information We Collect & Permissions Used
To provide you with screen mirroring capabilities, our app requires certain permissions on your device. Here is a detailed breakdown of the permissions we request and why:
-
Screen Capture & Audio (Media Projection & Record Audio)
Used exclusively to capture your screen and internal audio so it can be transmitted and mirrored to your connected TV. We do not record, store, or upload your screen content or audio to any external servers. The process happens strictly between your phone and your TV over your local network. -
Network & Wi-Fi Access (Internet, Network State, Wi-Fi State)
Required to connect your mobile device to your TV over the same Wi-Fi network and to load necessary online content, including advertisements. -
Location & Nearby Devices (Fine/Coarse Location, Nearby Wi-Fi Devices, Bluetooth)
Required by the Android system to scan for and discover nearby cast-compatible TVs, Wi-Fi Direct devices, and Bluetooth devices. We do not track your physical location or share location data with third parties. -
Foreground Services & Notifications
Allows the app to run reliably in the background while casting and displays a persistent notification so you can easily control or stop the mirroring session at any time. -
Display Over Other Apps (System Alert Window)
Enables the app to show necessary floating controls or status indicators while you are mirroring and navigating other apps. -
Device Optimization (Wake Lock, Boot Completed, Vibrate)
Prevents your phone from going to sleep and interrupting the casting session, provides physical feedback (vibration) on interactions, and initializes necessary casting services when your device turns on.
2. Third-Party Services & Advertising
Our app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. We use third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdMob) to serve ads. These services may use your Advertising ID and related ad services (such as topics and attribution) to provide personalized advertisements based on your interests.

3. Data Security
We value your trust in providing us with your personal information, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. The core functionality of this app (screen mirroring) transmits data locally over your home network. No video or audio streams are sent to our servers.
4. Children's Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
